Description/Historical Information: |
These two boys, Sergt. Bertie Simmonds and Sergt. Leonard
Street, were members of
Matlock White Cross Brigade. They were selected to attend the Coronation
of King George V in London. Leonard, then 14, lived in Upper Hackney.
