Description/Historical Information: |
The woman on horse, wearing large hat with flowers,
was Miss Frost of Cuckoostone Grange Farm to
the north-west of Matlock Golf Course. She was one of the daughters
of Mr. John H. Frost, formerly of Wirksworth. She is more likely
to be Constance Emily Frost, then aged 26, who is mounted on the
horse. Mr. Frost's younger daughter was Winifred, aged 20 in 1911.
"Charlie", the horse, was by then 15 and a retired hunter. |
