Description/Historical Information: |
Reginald Arthur Kersey was born at Derby on 21 Aug 1896. He
was one of the sons of John and Isabella M. Kersey, of 1, King's
Terrace, Smedley Street and served on HMS Implacable between
Sep 1913 and February 1914 as a Boy I. He became an Able Seaman
about March 1915. Discharged from the navy as unfit in 1919.
His brother John is commemorated on Matlock War Memorial. Also
see VLA5048, when he was
training on HMS Ganges. |
