Description/Historical Information: |
Celebrating the Coronation of King George V.
The residents were putting the final touches to their street decorations.
These included garlands, shields, flags and lanterns. The women are
all dressed in their finery, so this was almost certainly taken on
the day of the Coronation (22 June).
Stoney Way connects St. Giles' Church with Knowleston Place and the
Hall Leys. It is extremely steep, as can be seen here. |
