Description/Historical Information: |
Family group of six women and girls, with male.
They are now known to have been members of the Fleet family who moved
to Matlock from Chester in 1906, living initially at Gresley
Villa on Bakewell Road and then moving to Mount View on Dimple Road.
They were members of Matlock's Congregational Church, probably why
Vernon Lamb took their picture.
In the picture are:
Top row: Ada, Alice (wife of Thomas Bridge, owner of the Holly Tree
Inn) and Ida (grandmother of George Warren of Matlock).
Bottom
row: Annie, Mary (mother), Eva and Dan Fleet (father) who was an
Assurance Agent.
There are two other photographs of Dan or Daniel Fleet, in the Singles
and Couples section - VLA5102 and VLA5135.
Also see the Holly Tree Inn.
Ida, Ada and Eva Flint can be seen on VLA5121. |
