Description/Historical Information: Matlock Rifle Range. Instructing new recruits.
This photo wasn't published in the High Peak News but shows the same group of men as VLA4896.

In 1921 it was decided to revive the Matlock and District Rifle Club; its last meeting had been in 1915. At the outbreak of war there had been 33 members, of whom six lost their lives.
They were: L. G. Dickenson, R. Smith, Wm. Bosley (commemorated at Cromford), John Finney and Frank White. Note that one name is missing.
