Description/Historical Information:
Seven soldiers standing in the snow, only one
of whom is wearing a greatcoat. It snowed twice whilst the Regiment
was at Buxton, near the end of November and towards the end of December.
The severe weather and snow at the end of December 1914 made outdoor
training exercises very difficult (WO 95/3025/3, Regimental War
Diary, 1914 - 1916, TNA: noted in Dec 1914).
