Description/Historical Information: |
When the battalion was based in Luton and Epping
and in Watford the men were housed in private billets during
the winter months. Three soldiers outside one of the billets, presumably
being welcomed by their hosts. Other households in the same road
also took in soldiers. Written in chalk on the house wall is "5th
or 6th - Coy - Men" and on the door of the right hand house
is "Paritt 2nd 6th D. Coy 2 Men". |
