Whereupon the Person who filled up the Bond asked WALKER how he could desire £200 for what little he had done to the Charriott or how he could take a bond from Deft in that drunken condition, to which WALKER replied he left it to Deft's generosity and should not have cared if it had not been £20," etc., etc.
