William Adam tells us in 1857 that "Messrs. Bemrose and Sons, of Derby, Booksellers & Stationers, have established a good Circulating Library on the Museum Parade, and possess a capital and useful stock of Stationery, &c. The "Times", and other Papers and Periodicals are regularly taken in".[1]
