Description/Historical Information: |
Matlock Fire Brigade, mounted on their new horse
drawn steam fire engine, leaving the Town Hall yard. A tram can be
seen in Crown Square.
The brigade would have been heading for Rockside, where the capabilities
of the fire engine were to be demonstrated.

In addition, we can see Thornton House on Bank Road. It is
