"A New Fire Brigade Era.
Introduction of a Steam Fire Engine. A Perfect Success."
Demonstration of Matlock's new fire engine at 3p.m. In this photograph
Mr. D. M. Wildgoose, J.P. and Chairman of Matlock Council is addressing
the gathered crowd whilst Mr. Moss of the Company of Moss, Shand,
Mason's of London who supplied the engine is standing listening.
The men of the local brigade are clustered around the lamp-post
ready for action.
