Place: Matlock
Property / Street / Road: Matlock Railway Station
Date: 1914
Description/Historical Information: Matlock Patriots. Three young men who were photographed in the railway carriage. They were, from the left, Herbert Holmes, Stanley Cocking and George Crowder.
It is not clear what these young men are wearing in their lapels although it looks as if H Holmes has a watch and chain, whereas the other two (and probably all three) are possibly sporting a piece of heather.
Also see VLA4895, where there is more information about the trio.
