Date: The battalion was in Luton between 3 Feb and 9 Feb 1915 and then from 24 Feb - Aug 1915 (dates from WO 95/3025/3, Battalion's War Diary, 1914 - 1916, TNA)
Description/Historical Information: 2/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment). A Company of soldiers, led by a Major, marching down Western Road in Luton, where the 2/6th Battalion were stationed between January and August 1915. Note the advertisements for Fry's and Cadbury's chocolate on the wall of the shop [Sumners?].
