Place: Luton, Bedfordshire
Property / Street / Road: 29 Dumfries Street
Date: The battalion was in Luton between 3 Feb and 9 Feb 1915 and then from 24 Feb - Aug 1915 (dates from WO 95/3025/3, Battalion's War Diary, 1914 - 1916, TNA)
Description/Historical Information: A[lbert] E Hull, Bootmaker & Repairer. The group in and around the doorway includes three soldiers and Mr. Hull and his wife Annie who was a straw hats finisher. It is known that the household took in lodgers, so it is possible the three soldiers were billeted there. Note: this building appears to have been demolished.
