The 1928 title page (above, right)
The 1928 programme of the music and the menu are in the centrefold.
The final page, inside the back cover, contained a seasonal greeting
and a picture of the hydro.
The menu was produced for the hydro by Bunney's Ltd. of Liverpool.
There was no accompanying wine list in 1928
but by this time those guests who wanted to consume alcohol were
able to send out for wine from local off licences.

This is the first time that the name of a performer, in this case
Mr. Nelson Jackson, was included in one of these programmes.
According to The Stage for that year
he performed at concerts
and had
"a pleasant humour". He was also a composer and pianist.

Front cover. The coloured and printed turkey image is cut out and
glued on.
Therefore, as this will have been hand done, it means that every
1929 menu that still exists will be unique.
The work could be described as decoupage, although no varish or sealant
has been applied in this instance.
