This elderly lady was a neighbour of Joseph and Alice Cook who lived at 1 Gladstone Terrace, Jackson Road and whose son is one of those named on Matlock's War Memorial.

What is not known is who this lady was and exactly where the picture was taken. If you can help identify her or can provide an exact location of where this picture was taken we should be most grateful. Please email the web mistress. It was likely to be somewhere near either Jackson Tor Road or Rockside Steps.
