This dramatic scene of Riber hillside covered with snow was reproduced as a postcard for a number of years. Below
is the back of one card, showing a personal message from Charles Colledge to the daughter of Harry Douglas.
Colledge published postcards for a number of years in Matlock but, although it is likely that he published
this one, there is nothing to say so on the reverse. Another card, with the same view, announces that "there
isn't any snow today. This is last years". The second card was unfranked but had a George V stamp on it.
