Hand's garage (behind). Hands used the stables
of the Gate Inn and the access to their yard was from Rutland Street.
You can see the top of Smedley's Hydro above the buildings. Groom
with a horse, with the reins held by male wearing a boater. The car
behind the horse was part of their fleet of taxis. Unfortunately,
the number plate is hidden by horse [also see VLA4938 and VLA4952]. |
