Description/Historical Information: |
Messing took place in the large garage in the
Hotel's grounds. Initially there was a lack of utensils, which made
things difficult, but these were quickly procured.
A cheerful group preparing breakfast for the troops. Note that several
of them are smoking! The one on the left is holding large slabs of
bread and a knife, the second has a hock of bacon, whilst the man
in the middle has a knife held up seemingly by the string around
his waist and is clutching sides of bacon. The fourth man holds the
preserves (marmalade?) and the one on the right is holding the butter.
