This is typical of the multiview cards of the time, with darkly coloured and relatively relatively thick borders and an oval central inset for added interest.

The sender, who was undergoing some kind of treatment in the locality that he was not happy with, commented that "The heat is intense. Went a short walk before 10a.m. Before the sun was so strong". There was a P.S. saying there had then been a huge thunderstorm between 4 and 5 p.m.
